This was ridiculous and awful but I had a great time. It's a car-crash b-movie and it somehow got hammier and more weirdly homophobic with every page. Truly a spectacle to witness. Maybe one day even I could get published

3.5-4 stars? Took a while to get into this book, first section really drug on. But as it developed I was pleased with the progression.

I felt like this book was all over the place and there were so many different storylines going on. Eventually, some of them came together but I just wished it had been less confusing at first. I also wasn't sure why there were multiple perspectives - maybe Lisa and Ava's would have made sense, but at some point, Marilyn's POV was added and flashbacks at well, and I didn't like that at all. I have to admit, there were some surprises in this book, but I had also guessed a couple of things so it kind of balances out I guess...

I have no words for how good I thought this book was. It has strong female characters, which I love and the story is so different from most books that I've read. These women have complicated lives, which have not been easy, and they are fighters. Great book Sarah Pinborough!!

I’m giving this four stars only because it was a true thriller that kept me interested the entire time. It was also written very well and I liked the multiple viewpoints. I felt the story, however, was a bit too unbelievable at times.

With October on its way I knew I wanted to read a thriller and I'd heard only good things about Cross Her Heart. I'm here to add to the positive reviews! This was an exciting page turner. So many unexpected twists. This is definitely one of the better thrillers I've read. It was nice to think I knew the answers only to be proven wrong.
