For a 6ish hour read, it's definitely entertaining. There's a kidnapping and a murder both in the first chapter, and a solid chunk of the book is pure action. Where the book fails is having a coherent plot. Furthermore, some parts of the book have straight up lies that are later revealed. These are in sections are in characters' internal monologues where we are expected to trust what they say, so effectively retconning these "facts" seem out of place and makes for a jarring read.

Unfortunately this book was not for me. The writing was not good, the plot was quite silly and the characters... well, you could tell they were written. The internal monologue about their thought process and trying so hard to be "detectives" was so weird. And who reacts like that to a dead body?!!

Very interesting and easy to read. However, I’m not sure if I like the ending. Reminds me of how to kill your family.

Far-fetched and often made little to no sense. Even having finished I don't understand why half of the plot happened.

I don't know if some of the characters are in other books, but there was a weird back story grudge that, again, made no real sense/did nothing for the plot.

Probably one of my least liked books this year.

Was recommended this one at the book store! Am unsure of the format of the story coming from so many different perspectives - definitely found myself skimming certain characters recounts to get to the more relevant ones. I did like the ending, although it wasnt as unpredictable as a lot of other reviews seem to think! While yes, all the loose ends were tied, it was just an unsatisfying ending. Still a good story and read! Worth it nonetheless.

Matt comes home to find his fiancee apparently kidnapped and he has to kill someone to get her back.
This story is told by the three main characters from their point of view and as the story unfolds the reader wonders who is telling the truth and who is the kidnapper.
I quite enjoyed this story, even though it was a bit far fetched at times.
