I wasn't as grabbed by this as I was by some of the earlier books, but it was still a sweet conclusion. Four stars to the series as a whole.

As a whole, I rather enjoyed this series. Enola is an interesting character and her quest for a self-determined life kept me coming back even when the cases themselves were meh. I enjoyed the lack of romance in the series and the theme of love as an act of freeing the beloved rather than possessing was lovely. This book was my favorite of the six as it focused much more on Enola’s arch and her growth as a character and less on the case itself. Overall, this series was exactly the quick, escapist read I needed this week.

I remember nothing except that Enola's mother is selfish, irresponsible and should not have had children.

The notion that teenage Enola gets to gallivant around London on her own because she's soooooo mature and capable is laughable

Also unrelated but my phone keeps changing "Enola" to "Ebola" lol

Although there currently is 7 books in the series (quite logical in the aftermath of Enola Holmes movie) this book truly was an ending to the arc. We get to know what became of Enola’s mother and we even get a satisfactory solution to Enola’s future. Perhaps it wasn’t the ending I expected but it was an ending that made sense and gave it an air of finality with the hopes of some faraway day to come and bring new adventures…

I wasn't quite expecting that ending about their mother but I guess it ties everything together and makes sense why she left in the first place. I appreciate the family the Enola, Mycroft and Sherlock end up being for each other. I am interested what the last few books are like considering there is decade between book 6 and book 7.

I am literally picking up books and putting them down gain quite quickly, so i decided to re-read a small book that is a childhood re-read!

Being a small book, you can hardly comment on it that much but from what i read it was alright. The plot was solid, but did not expand at all past the plot outline. Sometimes this is good, sometimes this is bad in this cause though it was good.
The writing style i quite enjoyed, it was short simple and perfect for the story line. Thats all i can really say though as it so short.
