It was quite thrilling, an easy page-turner.

A great case with cool magic, and I wish we could have just had that and not the other stuff: machinations of 19th century British nobility, both MCs being so beholden to the aunt even though they hardly know her, and the constant “the MC is not like the other girls” sentiment.

Enjoyable characters, but this one storyline is going to take FOREVER. We will see if I have the patience for it.

This book is like if Downton Abbey had a lovechild with a steampunk mystery and filled it with the most delightfully weird cast of misfits. The plot is solid, with a new mystery for Matt and India to solve while the larger mystery continues but honestly, I’m just here for the chaotic family dynamic and the way they somehow keep the house standing. If there’s one thing they map out perfectly, it’s the path to utter madness.

Very average ... really not much happens . Main character still annoys me . I am not sure if I will continue with this series . I was hoping to learn a bit more about India’s magic and the search for chronos . And the really slow love affair between the main characters is annoying . I may not continue with the series .

Another domineering dude who can't be with the woman he loves because he's "too dangerous " and they won't  talk to eachother about it.
