Ooh, I had a lot of fun with this one! There is a lot going on in this short book with a badass MC and an absolutely adorable animal companion. I think my biggest complaint is that it was way too short. This story could easily have so much detail added to it to make it a full-length novel but the action still sweeps you along at such a good pace that even without a deeper foray into the world-building, history, and relationships of the characters it is still a good experience. The narrator, Saskia Maarleveld, also added another awesome layer to this book. I enjoyed her a lot and am going to listen to more of her narrations, especially the historical fiction ones. As soon as the new month starts, I’ll be getting the next Voidwitch book from Hoopla!

Lacking character development. Predictable plot. But the action was ok. So if you are looking for a popcorn read, look no further. You won't be wowed but it also won't feel like a complete waste of time.

PS: There is a cat in it!

I liked this one quite a bit. It reminded me a little of Elfen Lied but in space, with less boobs, and with a more coherent plot. I hope we see Mars again in the future.

Really enjoyed this mashup of fantasy and sci fi. Will continue the series.

I kind of wanted to dislike this book, but it sucked me in from the start and never stopped getting better. How could you be mad at a story of a Spacewitch tearing up baddies and running from some intergalactic evil organization? I loved the characters, the story, the setting, the weird fuzzy cat-like creature... I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait for the next one.

Not very memorable

I found it fairly flat. None of the characters are particularly interesting, and there's hardly any world building. Not worth it.

Enjoyable space action romp, even if the protagonist seems too powerful right from the start. There's little sense of actual danger when your main character can crush whole spaceships with the power of her mind.

So good with such amazing world-building (space-building?)! Definitely didn't read like a novella to me, more like a full-fledged book because of how detailed it is. The characters are quite well-developed and the plot is great. Loved all the sci-fi elements favorite definitely being Seven and her cool little trick, the brutality of it all and the revenge plot. Can't wait to read more adventures of this mini crew in the next book!
