What a great intro to this series!

At first, I found the story a little slow and confusing. There was a lot of information to take in for such a quick read but once I got about half way through.....hooked!! I think Chloe really shows her young age but I have a feeling about her....

Can not wait to read the next installment! I have a feeling this series will be a must-read for me.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Thanks, Beata!

so let's get the negatives out of the way. The cover art, I am not a huge fan of it. It's a disservice to the uniqueness of this story. However, I am one of those people who judge a book by it's cover. I am very glad I didn't in this case! Second, I wish it was more descriptive in regards to this new dystopian world. I was confused in certain sections about what this world looked like and there were certain areas that didn't need extra info.

Now for the great parts, this is a very unique story and I really appreciate the narrative and the sequence of events. Everything is told in perfect time with the introduction of characters and world. Chloe is a very interesting character and very well developed. I am a very hard reader in that I am very hard to please and I don't usually read books when asked. I'm very picky and my attention span is that of a toddler. So it speaks volumes that I read this book all the way to the end without putting it down. I had a good feeling about Beata and I am glad I was right. If you pick up this book you will not be sorry you read it.

I was approached by the author and given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I would definitely like to point out that this book is essentially set up to give you as much information about the world the series revolves around. I can appreciate a book that gives me a certain insight into the world I am about to discover. The information, I'm sure will come in handy as the series progresses.

I have to admit I am not the biggest fan of sacrifices where unrequited love is concerned. But I can push past that because I am curious about other specifics of this series. I want to know more about the Night Flyers, Cloud Lords, and about "the program."

Can't wait to see what else this author has to provide and I look forward to the next one.
