Meu Deeeeus, que livro TENSO.
Foi realmente o que mais me surpreendeu dos três.
Essa série me deixou confusa em muitos momentos, mas gostei bastante! Achei que teve um bom desenvolvimento nos três volumes e um bom final.

5 Stars are not enough…

This series has just completely slaughtered me, when I started reading book one I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I’ve only read one other book by this Author, and that book came highly recommended by a friend, so I gave it a try. I fell completely in love, like head over heels in love with this Author and her writing, so when I got the chance to start this series I jumped at it. Little did I know that I was starting one of the most wonderful book journeys that I would ever have, I am now in a major book coma and my heart actually aches with joy and love and hurt and all of those things that a great story does to capture your soul.
This book is told in third person POV and in past and present tense, and you must read book 1 & 2 in order to read Dawn of Forever. This is most definitely not a standalone.

The cliffhanger at the end of book two had me gasping for air and surprisingly drenched with equal parts of hope and fear. I was a complete and total mess, yet I felt like I could see the light. And I knew it would be turmoil to get to the end, but I desperately needed the end. Whatever that might me. Book one and two leave you with a ton of questions regarding EVERYTHING. And Jewel seamlessly carries you through every scenario you ever wondered about. No stone is left unturned. Every single character means something crucial to the story, whether it be an innocent sweet neighbor, or a cruel ruthless scumbag, you are left with an overwhelming understanding of each and every role, it was so refreshing.

As I mentioned, past and present are a hug factor in understanding the lives of these characters, and I was in absolute shock at how effortlessly the two mingled throughout the whole series, it was mind boggling to me, how the Author could make you fall in love with two characters at the same time, two characters that if they weren’t done in past and present you would probably have a major war going on within yourself. The writing is numbingly brilliant. I’m not going to go into character names or descriptions, and I’m not really going to break down the story at all like I usually do, because if you’ve read the first two books, there is no need, plus that would be spoiler city and there’s no way I’m doing that.

Luke describes Jillian at one point like this: “Hideous. Stunning. Disturbing. Mesmerizing.”
And honestly, that's a pretty solid group of adjectives for this book. There's so much ugly stuff going on, while it simultaneously mesmerizes you. It's beautiful and raw and eccentric at its core. It's classic and rare and bizarre. It’s exactly what you're afraid to feel, and everything that you need to feel. It's like getting slapped in the face and having the best embrace of your life all in the same moment. Every book should strive to disturb you this much. All of these characters hold scars that are so deep. SO deep. And each one of them somehow find a way to heal each other. This is hands down the most emotionally powerful book I’ve read in a long time, and yes, I would recommend it to every adult I know, and I can’t say that about a lot of books because of genre issues. But this. This book was everything to me.

This would probably be closer to 2 1/2 Stars, but I'm going with 2 vs 3, as I skimmed most of this book and would have been OK with not finishing it. I just didn't care for most of the story line.

Throughout this whole series, Jackson was probably my favorite character. I loved his portion in this book, but that was about it.

What a great ride this series was. Fabulous characters, heartbreaking moments, serious growth snd change. However it missed the 5 stars due to plot and coincidence—as in too many to be believed. The whole GAIL enterprise was a bit hard to swallow, especially convincing parents to “give” their kids innocence way to protect others. Lastly, as much as I loved Jude/Jackson I found his story less interesting However compelling his motivation was.

The banter was unbelievable!

I really disliked Jillian/Jessica through the first book and wasn't sure I was going to get through this series. Book 2 made me fall in love with both twins. Book 3 was a roller-coaster.

The mystery building in the first two books becomes the focal point of the present story. It was fairly predictablebbut still tense enough to keep me from putting it down. Jessica and Luke's relationship flashbacks are the best part of the book. Their love was so beautiful and you ache for a happy ending.

I absolutely loved this book. It made reading the first book and dealing with the toxicity of it worth it.

What an absolutely outstanding series this is.

It has everything. A complex plot. Shock. Twists. Romance. Humour. Death. Heartbreak. Love. And really, really hot sex.

The characters are wonderful. Jessica Day/Jillian Knight is as badass as they come. She’s hilarious in her red boots and barely there underwear. She’s crazy with her blood lust. She’s sexy and damaged and so full of love and passion. Dr Luke Jones is the sexiest psychiatrist ever. I want to have his argyle sock wearing babies.

Jude Day/Jackson Knight is almost as badass as his twin sister. The tattooed piano teacher; the secret assassin. Man whore meets Ryn Middleton and the knickers are so hot they have to go in the fridge.

AJ and his cloth napkins. Sigh. Bless him. Lake and the whole Jones family!

So good! Thanks for the ride Jewel and for entertaining me whilst the apocalypse is happening outside. Stay safe. Self isolate. Read. My mantra always regardless of the lack of toilet rolls and paracetamol.

“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you?”

JFC. This book series. It broke me and then put me back together piece by piece. I feel like I didn't know what love looked like before I read this book! The love that Jessica/Jillian and Luke shared was one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed. The roller coaster of emotions to get to the end of this series was indescribable, but the payout was so so sweet. Jewel E Ann is officially my new favorite author after reading this series. I loved her after The Naked Fisherman and I'm obsessed with her now after Jack and Jill.
