I’m really glad I stuck with this. The sleuth is gen z or baby millennial and very into social media and the finer things, not usually my preferred character type. But the bakery and the dog pulled me in and I ended up loving it.
The cast of characters range in age, health and gender. The chemistry is great. The murders are small town politics and real estate with a side of family history. I really enjoyed it and I hope this series continues.

This was fine, but the hashtags were a bit much.

Loved every page of Two Parts Sugar, One Part Murder! What a great new series debut by Valerie Burns! Unique storyline with a great core group of characters, amazing setting, side plots of self discovery and romance - plus who doesn’t love a huge lovable mastiff? 10/10 recommend scooping this book up when it hits the shelves!
I’m already looking forward to the next books in the series!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!
