quick, fairly easy read into some deep topics, both personal and scientific. thoughts on the challenge medical professionals face to show just the right amount of information and emotional awareness so that patients can find their own hope for healing, and the feedback of hope/despair in the body. not at all new age-y :)

This is really inspiring to an aspiring doctor like me. Finishing the book makes me adamant to avoid specializing Oncology in the future.
HOPE boils down to a person's belief, expectations, and desire to see beyond their illness.

Excellent book for anyone who works in healthcare or who is living with chronic illness. Lots of concrete information presented in a very readable format from a well respected authority.

As a patient whom has encountered many physicians, from different specialties, I can say this book gives me some more hope that their are a few good doctors out there who truly care about what they can do for their patients, even if it ends up just being there for them. The Anatomy of Hope was a fascinating read about how hope can impact care and outcomes. My one doctor kept telling me it’s extremely important to not give up hope and this book points out through its stories as to why hope is vital in care. I learned a lot from reading this.

I thought this book was going to be more inspirational, but really it was written for other doctors and med types who understand all that doctor jargon.

"Does exactly what it says on the tin" :-)

I felt so hopeful after reading this. I also considered the power of the mind and what limiting beliefs I'm holding to that are not serving me. Very powerful and I'm glad this book came to me when it did.

I really liked this book. As a doc, I have struggled with the same dilemmas and have come to some of the same conclusions. It was a cathartic read.
