The first chapter, by nature of being a one-shot, felt kind of rushed. But the rest of it works really well to set up the story. There's a very clear intention to have respectful representation for the disabled, I can't speak on the accuracy, but I do appreciate this level of effort and care. Itsuki is an actual character and not some tragic figure for the main heroine to save. I really like the pace of the romance.

Very cute but not quite prefect. The characters don't seem to have much personality, at least not yet. The art isn't my favorite either but it's not bad. I'm interested to see where it goes despite the problems.

Review for volumes 1 to 9.
Such an impactful story. It was a tough read but oh so necessary. I wish the world was more considerate about making things more accessible for disabled people.

I rarely read mangas, mostly because I really miss the inner monologues when reading graphic novels and the like. However, when I saw this series on my timeline and saw in reviews that the romance wasn't sugercoated and that this wasn't a "your wheelchair doesn't make a difference" story, I got quite curious and I wanted to see for myself if this was the kind of romance I was looking for.
Although I still think I would have cried my eyes out if this had been a written novel, I really loved this story. The characters were realistic, the issues were realistic, the dialogues were realistic, at times the book was quite confronting and it did not make life in a wheelchair seem easier, prettier or better than it truly is. I have to admit that the reading order confused me at times (recognize the non-manga reader...), but I'm sure that when I continue with the rest of the series I will completely figure it out at some point! I at least know it's worth it!

This is a really beautiful and bittersweet story. I appreciate that it shows some of the hardships of being wheelchair bound and falling for someone that is wheelchair bound.
The art style is decent, but definitely not my favorite. There were some issues with pacing and time jumps that were a tad bothersome. All in all though this is a solid manga with a great story. On to volume 2!
