She let them all go because he was her home, her shelter. Her endless fire, burning through the dark.

4.5 stars

at first, i was very hesitant to jump back into it because icl the first book was very boring and although i enjoyed it, it was putting me to sleep a bit. but this felt completely different i love rebecca ross’ writing style, she makes you feel so entwined with the pages. i felt like i was there.

this series is definitely different from all other fantasy books ive read and im not sure how to describe the vibes it gave me but it felt like i was in the setting of the movie brave with this enchanted forest and whisps and elemental spirits all around me!!

i think we also got a lot more romance from my loves torin&sidra and jack&adaira!!! their romance is so pure and blissful i love watching their confessions of love and how you can so deeply tell how the mmc’s care for the fmc’s.

As if it were weakness to share one's burdens with another. But I am with you now. I am yours, and I want you to lay your burdens down on me, Adaira.

jack & adaira. they are SO CUTEEEEEE. personally, they’re my favs. although at times it feels very isn’t lovey, it’s so adorable how they call each other old nemesis
