This has a slow start but eventually picks up. This is my second Samantha Bryant book but other than Jessica I didn’t really resonate with any of the other characters. Like for instance Evelyn is a victim in this story and even though I felt sorry for her, I didn’t feel connected to her. I would love to see more diversity in this series and book one had a very strong start! Jessica goes through a lot more in this book and I loved the fact that she changes throughout the book.
