Took me forever to finally get to the last book in this series but I loved it. I think this trilogy is my favorite of any Alice in Wonderland retelling out there.

I definitely liked this over the first two books. I really enjoyed the war scenes. At the first half of the book I really liked and admired the character of Dinah because of the braveness and determination that she showed. But, towards the end of the book I could not bring myself to like her anymore because of what she did.

This series is an okay one for me. Nothing too special but not a bad book. I just felt like it could be compressed into 2 books but that's just my opinion. I also do think that it will be interesting to watch this as a movie.

What a finale! I waited way too long to read this. It was such a fun quick read that I want to start the series over again!

4.5 stars ( I might switch to 5). I REALLY loved this series. So dark and creepy...full of very interesting spins on Wonderland characters. Then the epilogue happened. I just don't know if I love the end.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I enjoyed Dinah’s character growth and seeing how she had to deal with her dark side. I do think that she should have ended up with Ki-ershan instead of Wardley (there’s too much bad history between them) and then Wardley and Alice/Vittiore could have been together and served as Dinah’s advisor and lady-in-waiting respectively, but there you go. Still a really great ending to the series.

What a conclusion!
Literally picking up right after the last book, Dinah has lost it all.

Not just her brother, her people, her dreams, her heart, and worst of all whatever innocence she had left now that she knows the truth not just about her family, and worse her father, but the boy that she was yearning and wanting for as much as her rightful place as queen.

As far as originally retellings go, this is honestly one of the best I've read. Book one was setting up the world and characterizations, book two provided so many revelations that book three had to pick them up, go into detail, and what a show Oakes gave!

So much went into all the books that gave me such a delicious take on Dinah and what made her into the Queen of Hearts because this is not a happily ever after tale, but the beginning of her reign.
