Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for a gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Unfortunately, this was a book that just didn't hold my interest and I was unable to finish it. I know many readers enjoy books by Sandie Jones but after a few tries, I think they may just not be for me.

Honestly, the premise was really interesting but the plot fell flat. At the 70% mark the author tries to throw 2 separate plot twists that don't turn into anything and felt more like an attempt at a "gotcha!" and finally at the last chapter, there was not-so-well explained explanation for what happened.

I read other books by Sandie Jones before but this was a let down for sure.

3.5/5. This one took a while to pick up, but it sprints to a conclusion. I didn't mind it, but it wasn't one of the best I've read.

My 3rd Sandie Jones book and I love her more and more. She's is definitely now on my must read list.

Not a huge fan of the writing, however the overall book was pretty enticing. I enjoyed the multiple storylines. There were a lot of curveballs I did not see coming, right up until the very last sentence.

The premise of this book was promising but the execution left a lot to be desired.
