REVIEW:

I'd rate this a 4.75/5. Let me justify.

The thing is, this book is perfect and immaculate. I love the angsty writing style. It suits the tone and theme of the book. This collection of short stories has been a depiction of what struggles in life truly mean.

It's marketed toward queer audiences but I don't think it's solely for queer audiences only. One thing I like about this book is how queerness is not used as a simple, cheap trick to promote its agenda. It depicts queerness not as a central element but something that affects their everyday lives...and it makes queerness real and tangible. Our lives, our experiences are real and tangible and also our pain and struggles.

What irked me about this book is how it lost its momentum toward the end that it just felt disorganized. Plus, the plot had been more or less predictable as the book goes on. It's not entirely tightly knit, I should say.

But what this book urged me to do is to love life. Life is hard, life is a battle yet we must choose life always because our lives are good stories to tell for the future to know.

I liked the consistent melancholic tone of the book. Highly recommendable for people who are looking for new directions in life
