Probably my least favorite of the trilogy though still a wonderful book. Starts off fairly slow even for Tolkien’s standards. I also felt like the battle scenes and main climax of the entire epic weren’t served justice, but I understand these books are more about the journey than anything. Despite my qualms still a nice bow on top of the trilogy that is LOTR.

Serkis does such a great job of bringing this to life. Didn't even mind all the singing.
