A beautiful story about generational trauma and how it manifests. I loved Thistlefoot's chapters and the use of 2nd person.

I am a sucker for fairytale retelling and was super excited for this being about Baba Yaga. However, this story fell so flat overall. The only interesting parts were about Baba Yaga herself and the history. The main characters felt underdeveloped and over exaggerated at the same time. The magic system felt thrown in without any explanation. Even the side character felt forced in the story with no development. You could honestly cut them from the story and lose nothing. Really disappointed in this one.
