So many books are written up as “the next Hating Game,” but I wasn’t crazy about The Hating Game and actually enjoyed this one more. I loved the insight into the jobs of agents as well.

Ehhh idk. I think this book is a really good representation of the double standards that people still experience in the workplace. I really liked both characters individually, I thought they were funny, witty and passionate. For me, there were times where the mmc could’ve stood up for the fmc more. Throughout the rivalry, there were times where the fmc made sure to play fair while the mmc literally sat there and let her boss who was sexist take opportunities from her and give them to him. It wasn’t until the very end that he stood up. Besides that, all the pranks and jokes they played on each other were so hilarious and their relationship was the cutest!!

God I’m so glad I discovered Christina Lauren books. They’re fun and fluffy and always hilarious. The characters are almost always flawed but in a human way and I love that about them. Evie and Carter were no exception.
