Well written, with a perfect ending that only this type of story could have. Dark erotica, horror, and definitely not a romance. I wasn’t sure how it was going to end as Devin continued evolving — was he going to realize his mistake and it would end in some twisted HEA? Nope. Phoenix didn’t take that way out, she instead actually gave some weird amount of sense and hope for Mateo. I loved how the twist and ending came, and the epilogue itself leaves you the same sinister emotion at the end that entire book has, but it still is hopefully better…

This story picks up right where Brother Dear stops. It is a continuation of Devin getting a little crazier and Mateo I’m not too sure about. I’m fascinated by the twin connection but at this point when Mateo still holds on to his feelings for his brother, I have to question his sanity also. The author does a great job writing the kinky, sexy stories but she also makes it so much more by writing stories that are entirely a possibility. I could not figure out how she was going to end this but she kinda did. I wish she had written a little more about where these characters are in their lives maybe five years later etc. Does Devin get out and is he still crazy. Does Mateo finish college and…… I know this kink isn’t for everyone but if you do enjoy the darker side this fits the bill.
