4.75/ For fans of Neil Gaiman, Marvel, historic events with a twist, comic books or neither of those. One of the most amazing books I've ever read. SO MANY PLOT TWISTS

Loved it! A different take on classic characters. The random dinosaurs were kind of silly though.

I love Marvel- I love Gaiman. A wonderful tale featuring all the Marvel favorites, even if it took me half the book to figure out who was who, in a setting most Americans and Brits alike are familiar with being the first settlement of the colonies in America. I loved the twist on our beloved favorite Marvel characters as British aids to Queen Elizabeth and King James. I thought that Gaiman really did create an alternate universe that was full of intrigue, mystery, mayhem, and a touch of reality. This could be cannon! (Especially after watching the end of Loki!)

This was so cool! I did feel like like the climax was a bit odd, but the concept was so unique, and the execution was, for the most part, flawless. I'm so glad that I got around to reading this!

This graphic novel is a perfect combination of influences- Marvel, Gaiman, 17th century England.
Just let that sink in for a moment. The end result has some of the best elements of each of these influences while turning the combined total into something new and exciting. The art looks great. The story is engaging. My only complaint is that it got super meta for one brief conversation, which seemed out of place. Otherwise, it's a solid achievement that tackles a ton of story and characters and made it all work in a fresh and intriguing way.

Not exactly what I thought it was going to be. Still good though. It was a little overwhelming at first in terms of the storyline but picked up later on~ it was fun trying to figure out what characters had made it onto the story.

Great concept, strong writing, amazing art, but I just felt like there was something lacking the entire time I read it. Not Gaiman's best effort.
