Interesting

This book put an interesting spin on Omegas. I found it quite interesting especially when they went into more detail about the caste system and how demons are made. I definitely enjoyed the book and I recommend it.

DNF at 16% after the demons info dumped the FMC Gabrielle's secret heritage as a sythica, a female omega demon, and that she was the embodiment of lust.

I didn't take the reviews seriously enough, and yes, the 24-year-old Gabrielle really did lose her virginity to three demons in an alleyway after she was almost murdered. It was not a good start for me with smut immediately after the gratuitous violence, and after being thrown a bunch of terms and having the men switch their names to their sins, I couldn't keep them straight and lost interest in continuing.

Dark RH omegaverse romance that is unique, well written and creative. The worldbuilding is detail 'painting' a vivid picture along with intriguing characters from the great characterization. This is steamy and knotty story. This is entertaining and I am excited to read more of this series.

When I picked up a copy of Dragged Under, a reverse harem in which a woman mates the Deadly Sins (one of which is Lucifer himself), I never would have imagined my primary descriptor on finishing it would be bland. I was simply bored the whole time.

Even the sex is mechanical and dull. I'm talking P enters V, equals O. Sometimes P doesn't even enter V more than once before O. No foreplay, no getting to know the men, no variation, no emotion, no passion. Mechanics, that's it, and not even many of those. It's about as erotic as sitting on a chair and then immediately standing up, done.

The villain is a caricature that drops in to monologue briefly on occasion and nothing more. The primary foil being ridiculous challenges that are overcome with comical ease.

Everyone had two names (both the 7 Sins and everyone else) that are used interchangeably throughout the book. So, I could never keep track of who was doing what. (Why would an author do this?) On top of not being able to keep names straight, none of characters are well developed or differ enough to tell them apart anyway, not even the heroine.

But then how could she be? She spends literally half the book asleep or unconscious and the other half being carried or used as a flesh-lite. (The men negotiate with each-other about who gets to stick it in next—and that's about all they ever do. She's never an active participant.) She might as well be an inanimate object. I'm not even exaggerating here.

And the whole thing ends with a deus ex machina that made no sense at all. I have no desire for more of this series.

Firstly this book needs serious editing. There's so many errors with spelling, grammar, punctuation and also a unreasonable number of words missing from sentences.

The beginning is so rushed, and it's just too far fetched. The first bonding feels a bit rapey, they don't explain anything, Gabrielle has just been attacked and has no idea what's happened to her, but the three guys just want to mate and bond. They let her walk to one if them but her inner monologue makes it clear it's not something she wants or would normally do.

Then the way Branh treats her. I'm sorry but no means no, even in an omegaverse book, consent is still key. The other guys aren't much better, they treat her horribly, she may as well be a sex slave. She's given no say in any of the bonds, and they put her at risk by forcing the knot out as well.

I liked the world build, I liked how the story of Lucifer's fall and Adam and Eve were reimagined. That's honestly the only thing that I liked though.

I do not understand the high star reviews for this book.

i got this arc from the author in promise for a review so here it goes.

from the blurb i was unsure if i would like the book very much but boy was i wrong,
it took me about give or take a half hour 5 hours to finish the book it was that good

thing i loved and liked
the story is unique ive not read a story with the 7 sins before,
its fast going, alot of action packed romance and the heroinne is kickass the boot.
the 7 sins and the authors take on it was amazing to read, it captivated me
and i was eager to keep turning the page to see what happend next.
i liked how the world build and was mainly in "hell"

ive found 3 words that i think were spelled wrong (or needed to said differently)
what i found a little fun was story for the heroinne, she got dropped
into the deep end and got bits and pieces, i think this might of been deliberate
as the story went on we got more and more of the what, why and how.

eventho i thought i might not like it all that much am glad i was proven wrong
this book had it all, and is a perfect standalone for when your waiting for a new book
in a series or if your in a reading block, pick up this book and be pleasently surprised.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
