Yay! I finally got through this book! I knew reading with a newborn would not be easy, but I loved coming back to this book when I could. The story is inspiring and interesting, and his reflections on his father really made me think about my own dad and our relationship. I will read books like this that are fiction, so the fact that this is now our president made it all the more intriguing. Having just lost my own father, I could relate to some of his feelings of wanting to know a man after he is physically gone.

I loved listening to this story. Barack Obama is a top notch storyteller. I loved this book for the honesty revealed by Obama about his family, his life, and his struggles. And I *LOVED* this book for hearing the President of the United States refer to his old basketball coach as a "racist motherfucker."

Facsinating insight into Obama’s past! His experience as a community organizer at the grassroots level is enough to make anyone feel like can effect change in their community.
