The only thing that saves this from being a DNF was her trip to South Africa. By that time, there had been too much bad behavior to be believable. Even if you live to 88, the number of reprisals was troubling. I suppose the fact that she had spent so many years as her older sister’s caretaker could leave her a little abnormal. But seriously…

This was a very fast read with a somewhat redemptive ending. However, I have read my last book about Maud.

I enjoyed the first "Elderly Lady" book, so this one was a big disappointment. It read like a travel diary with a TON of flashbacks (Maude ate this, drank this, went here, saw this type of animal). It missed the mark for me.
