Jared may be old enough to be Carina's father (and actually went to school with the guy), but the chemistry between them is sizzling. The title is a little misleading because Jared is hardly dad's buddy, but that's an interesting part of the story when it gets revealed what happened to cause the resentment.
This was a short and steamy romance and a highly enjoyable read.

I enjoyed this story. I thought that it was well written and I enjoyed the characters. Carina and Jared are drawn to each other from the very beginning. They see each other in the mall and keep eyeing each other until Carina's step-mom goes and says hi. That's when they figure out that her parents and Jared are old college buddies. They run into each other again when Carina heads to his hotel bar. That's when they end up starting things as they just can't deny the connection any more. Carina doesn't care about the age difference and instead appreciates his maturity. The sex is explicit and there's a lot of sexual tension. I thought that the story flowed well. Carina and Jared get to know each other and spend time building their relationship even though the story happens over a short period of time. This was a quick read for me.
