This has been such a fun and bingeable series by Ruby Dixon. They are all currently available on Audible Plus, although a couple leave on 5/7.

I really liked how this one didn't feel as formulaic as the first three since those all had a human slave getting freed by our pirates. In this one we have a cute relationship that was formed through communication over comm channels. Sentorr and Zoey have never seen each other, but they are already falling in love. However, Zoey is a human navigator and Sentorr had no idea.

I loved how Sentorr changed his tune about mating human women once he met his. This was really cute.

I love when Ruby changes up her formula just a little bit. Best sex scenes of this series imo. Obviously the human meets and falls in love with big blue alien is the same but enjoyed the twists and addition of new characters in this one. It’s almost as if she’s setting us up for more books…..😆☺️

2.5

I think the first time I read this, I'd have given it 3.25 / 5 stars. On a reread, I'd say no more than 2.5 / 5.

[ spoilers ]

Listen. I love Dixon's stories. I loved this series. But Zoey deserved more. I'm being so incredibly picky, but I wanted more for her. More getting to know Sentorr in person. More time with her brothers. More choice. It felt so much like they were getting rid of her / they didn't need her and it hurt. Sentorr never offered to leave for her at the beginning.

And I KNOW, reasons were given. But. I wanted more.
