"Vampires may not be real-real in the way you might have read in a book or seen in a movie, but.... their stories come from real history and culture."

Hanging with Vampires: A Totally Factual Field Guide to the Supernatural is a cute guide to introducing younger readers to the myths and legends about vampires. It advises readers on how to fend off vampires, includes a garlic bread recipe and recommends books, movies, and tv shows that are about vampires.

I enjoyed the artwork within Hanging with Vampires and thought it was a nice little break from the paragraphs. I also liked the inclusion of extended facts under sections like, "Ye Old History", "Read All About It", and "According to Science." The book's lack of description for some facts and in-depth analysis of others was my main gripe about it.

I loved this! It's so fun to read, and there's so much to learn in just this little book but it never felt like a chore to read. The art is a great part of this! It just adds a bit more fun and I live that. And on top of that this book goes into topics I didn't think it would but I'm so glad it did. No spoilers, but this is definitely worth a read!
