I quite liked it. I appreciated the autism and mental illness representation. I found Anna's struggles relatable, and the way she overcame them inspiring. Quan made me realize I'm not a forgiving person, because I don't think I would have been able to forgive what she did. I also didn't really buy into the romance, it was rushed, and I didn't see what he liked about her aside from her looks, he never really said anything except for that. It got suprisingly dark at times. This book had my one trigger I have that I never bother to check because it's not that common, hospitals and terminal illness. My biggest qualm with this book is that Priscilla didn't get dragged by the hair like she deserved. Listened to it on storytel and the voice actress did such an amazing job.

This book was by far my favourite out of the entire trilogy even though I enjoyed the others as well.
I connected so much with Anna as we see her face the difficulties of undiagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder, finding out about her diagnosis, coming to terms with all the pieces coming together about her entire life, family and culture that she loves but also suffocates her, and realising that she does not HAVE to be what everyone expects.
There are so many lessons in this book. It genuinely made me cry and laugh at every point.
This romance was not unnecessarily complicated. Their romance was unique to the characters. Reading through their communication was a breath of fresh air as it consistently maintained a level of healthiness even if one person is having difficulty.
This book was amazingly written and I would highly recommend this series for anyone who is interested in romance similar to the Brown Sisters trilogy.

this book was great. i love helen hoang and when i started this book i knew it would be different from the others in this series. it wasn’t as light and honestly i loved how she touched on the topics that she did. i also like that we get to see a deeper side of quan that isnt at all seen in the other books. i also just loved anna and was rooting for her the whole time. i guess my one gripe (which honestly feels kind of petty so you can disregard) is that i wish quan had an easier time. like i love this book and am glad it exists in the form it does but simultaneously part of me also wishes his story was a little lighter. might be just me. i love you helen!!!

THIS BOOK IS ART. Helen Hoang is actually one of my favorite authors and this novel did NOT disappoint at allllll. The only flaw was the mention of my least favorite poet but that’s on my lmao. I own all three books and can’t wait to reread them 🥰
