Prince's Gambit was, to me, even more enjoyable than Captive Prince. The slow-burn is agonisingly wonderful; this book delves into the various elements of the characters' respective pasts and explores the gradual building of trust and affections between the main leads.

I think this might be the first time ever that my favorite in a series is the second book, but I ADORED prince's gambit. I was so hooked on this book and the development of its plot that I had to read the last 200 pages in one sitting on an airplane middle seat. I stand by capri, my cancelled wife

The first book was absolutely perfect- and this one is, somehow, even moreso. The political intrigue was INCREDIBLE; there were plays here that caught me completely off guard and made my heart flutter at the sheer amount of thought & foreshadowing! So so good! And so so messed up!!

Impeccable dialogue and characters, as always- I just adore Damen and Laurent's relationship progression here so much. From hatred to tense allyship to hesitant friendship to the fragile care at the end here.... it's just impeccable ❤️ 
Truly such a joy, I'm literally buying book 3 this instant
