 This was very average for me. It also felt overly long and bloated. The two main characters were fine, if a little one-note. I did think it was a little strange how even though it had been twenty years since they’d last seen each other, and they’d only been 8 at the time, the hero, Grant, kept saying Emerson had also been the one for him. Really? As an 8 year old you knew that? And even with literal decades passing with no contact you still knew in the back of your mind she was the one??

Clearly that bothered me. Anyway. There was also a lot of difficult subject matter in here that I didn’t expect to see so much.
