The last 150 pages or so helped the book tremendously for me. It was good and started out solid, but somewhere in the middle I found myself getting bored. It passed quickly and I think it might have been because I couldn’t read it straight through like I wanted. My original hope was to read it in one night but because I couldn’t, I think that’s why I got tired.
Overall, it was great for any fans of horror/slasher movies. Specifically Scream fans, which is why I picked this up!

Highly recommend if you love slasher films and mysterious school based books.

It was okay. The characters felt a little flat, which kind of put me off. The twist was pretty good, and well-foreshadowed and tied everything up very nicely, which was satisfying, but it didn’t have the OOMPH of an emotional impact that I was looking for. The writing style also didn’t feel. Horror-y enough. Also the modern references to social media are. I can’t do that. Those last two are nit picky. But still.

This is a solid book. It kind of moved slowly for me and not a genre I usually get into. The characters are well written but I couldn’t relate to them because I just don’t like horror movies. A fine book, just not written for my taste.

This book is not good. Would not recommend. Unless you feel like reading about a traumatized girl get retraumatized by
her own fucking friends.
Bad writing- incredibly juvenile and cheesy; YA in a bad way. Characters are meh, they make stupid decisions and are unlikeable. Villains aren’t even given a reason for their malice and violence. Even the 2 “good” characters are immoral. Doing terrible shit to the people closest to you because of “rules”. Like just don’t. Not that hard. Heroine doesn’t even save herself,
rescued by a fucking boy.
Talk about overplayed horror tropes. Only reason this isn’t 1 star is bc the plot is admittedly intriguing. I angry finished this book.
