One of the first vampire books that I read. I think I was around eleven years old. Fond memories of this one. Zoe and Simon. Oh, how I longed for more like it. This was before it was as easy to look for similar books. Annette Curtis Klause was a name I would remember.

Eh, it was okay. A short read, and interesting characters but I didn’t feel too much for it.

The Silver Kiss was one of the first few books outside of Harry Potter novels that started to push me towards enjoying reading. It isn't your typical vampire story when it comes to how they are nowadays. If I had to explain to someone now, it be how Twilight should have been. Simon and Zoë are these amazing characters that I've seen so few in other books that I love. I became attached to both of them and it is hard to put into words of how they are without feeling like I'll give something away. I believe if you like vampire books with a dash of romance this is your way to go. Be prepared for some heartstrings being pulled is all the warning I can give. What I can tell you is that I've read this one to the point I'm in desperate need of a new one.

Vampires are just so sad and tragic. This was a little too emo for me.
