I almost DNF’d this book and honestly I kinda wish I had. I think this was supposed to be satire and commentary on wealth inequality but I don’t think the author has ever met a poor person or understands the struggles associated with poverty. Every character who was poor was either homeless or a drug addict or both and that’s not a cute look. And all the characters were very one dimensional and also they were all terrible people?? I don’t know, the entire book just rubbed me the wrong way. Also, it was very predictable. I guessed the ending like 2-3 chapters in. I say don’t waste your time.Â
