Fascinating insight into the process behind breaking the Weinstein case from the women who did it. The book also discusses the broader #MeToo movement - its predecessors and its ongoing legacy. At times, the graphic accounts are intense, so this was a purposefully staggered read.

Written by two NYTimes journalists, this is written in the style of extended reporting. For this book, that's reassuring in that it's factual and they're not just trying to conflagrate a salacious story. What was horrifying to me was just how much the reporters had to dig due to how many people were involved in protecting serial sexual assaulter Harvey Weinstein and keeping these traumatized women quiet.

if i was one of the victims and i read this book, i'd be offended at how much smoke they blew up their own asses about how great and amazing they are as journalists. its shocking the lack of self awareness they have not only writing about, but then reading back their accounts of how they forced victims to put their names out there against their abusers and the massive industry they tried to escape just so these two journalists could have pride and fame and glory, whilst the victims carried the trauma, backlash and pain.
