Powerful. I’m far along in my healing journey where I can read this book and not crumble. There were many moments in this book that left me in shock, even after already knowing many of the assaults the women in the book (and in life) faced. I’m heartbroken for the women who feel unsafe walking in this world who fear sharing their truth, and for the women before us who challenged systems to pave the way for us to speak up.

Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey craft a bombshell of a book and story with "She Said." It's thrilling and powerful and explosive, all while keeping in truth with the investigative journalism, politics and play and the survivors, whose compelling stories weave in and out of each chapter.

I loved how Kantor and Twohey referred to themselves in the third person - I think it made things a lot easier to follow and the book was structured and paced well. I did prefer the focus on Harvey Weinstein and the two journalists/editors who took him down as opposed to the section on Christine Blasey Ford - I understand the inclusion as it is a part of the #metoo sexual harassment movement; however, I think because Kantor and Twohey weren't explicitly investigating it (as formatted in the book) and it was more of a descriptive recap of what happened, it's placement felt a little odd.

The book ends with a collective meeting/group interview with a group of women discussed and interviewed throughout the book and this was extremely powerful to read about. Well done.

This book was so insightful and I think everybody who has the chance to read it should. The actual content of the book was extremely interesting, but the writing was one of the stand out points for me. The way the authors carefully describe every detail of their investigation was so informative and could be read with ease. If you’re debating on whether or not to read this book, just do it!
