This is the second book in The Looking Glass series, and has a very different vibe than the first one. Brenn is shown his true love in the mirror and is quite accepting and willing to go out and find his true love.
He's in for a rude awakening though, when he discovers that Joey is terminally ill.
Joey is determined not to fall in love with Brenn, because that would make it even more difficult for him to stay accepting of his fate, and he also wants to protect Brenn's heart from hurt when he's no longer there. But love will not be denied and the magic mirror has some extra tricks up its sleeve!
It all leads up to a very emotional, but rewarding ending and a great HEA.
I seriously didn't like Paul, one of Joey's friends. He's very overbearing and almost possessive towards Joey, resulting in needless hostility towards Brenn.
I really enjoyed this story and the whole magic mirror premise.
