This books, I could not put it down! I was hooked from the start...the mystery...the crime laid out within the first chapter, it makes you want to know more and more. The love interest within this book is so innocent, yet enhances the story in a way I have not seen within other books. I am so excited to continue reading the Morgan Dane series.

Morgan Dane has been taking a break from work caring for her three kids and grandfather after the loss of her military husband. However she is ready to get back to work. After accepting a job, she ends up on the other side when her neighbor is arrested for killing his girlfriend. She knows he is innocent and fights to prove his innocence.

She teams up with a local PI firm, who just happens to be one of her high school boyfriends. They works as a good team, working the clues and proving the case. When she solves the case and shows up the DA, and the local cop she knows she is making enemies. Looking forward to reading this series. Love all the characters and the mystery side was good.

I liked it

I love a good murder mystery. The author did a phenomenal job of keeping you guessing. I’m usually pretty good at figuring out who the “perp” is in these types of books, but not in this one. The slow burning attraction between Lance and Morgan was frustrating but worth it in the end. Overall an enjoyable read.

One of those thrillers that once you finish, you never think of it ever again.

Didn’t connect with any character or give a shit about any of it, honestly.
