I really loved the addtion of all the arabian fairy tales, but the reason I am only giving ot four stars is because of the last chapter with June. Didn't really do anything for me

I don’t like how they portrayed the « harem » in the story. Harems were schools for women only, not the emperors personal sex and kink club like in this book. I’m not saying harems were good or anything like that but this is a gross misrepresentation of eastern culture. And as someone who lives in the old capital of Ottoman Empire I didn’t enjoy this.
Anyway, moving on.

I love the Arabian Nights fables, and bringing them into the Fables universe was a great idea. I especially love the way there's some sort of link between Homelands Baghdad and our Baghdad. The interculture politics was a nice touch, as well as the idea that a D'jinn equates not that differently to a nuclear bomb. Great volume, things are really picking up on this series.
