There is nothing outright wrong with this book. It's a sweet concept of needing help.
Bear's shoelaces are untied but no one will help him.
And that's pretty much the gist of the story. Which is my issue with it. It's so.....simple. Almost too simple. What I do like is that for an emerging reader it would be a great book choice due to the minimal words on each page.

Hahaha! This is a gem! Bear is (for some unfathomable reason) but one is untied. He seeks help from many other animals, but, unsurprisingly, they are too scared of him to help. The pictures are gorgeous and there is lots of opportunity for interaction when reading this aloud to a group. The ending will surprise you, it totally made me laugh. This is a fabulous story time book for a bear, shoes, helping, or friendship theme.
