This book would've been the perfect 3.5 star. Unfortunately I don't do that so I'mma just give it a three.

It was sweet and interesting. But I don't think it will stick with me. Okay maybe it is a four star, because the one plot was super impactful and made me tear up.

Okay it's a four star.

Another recommendation from my 11-year-old niece who is a fan of Hena Khan. This book carries a good message for children and other readers to learn how to treat others and be comfortable with change, growth, and expressing one's thoughts and feelings. It also depicts community and unity. Overall, I liked it.

Book 2/10 for Battle of the Books!
As I said in the last review, I am not going to write a lot because I already have 1.5 pages of notes for this book!
Overall, I think the main character for this book was a little bit annoying, so she didn't really add to the book at all.
Hope y'all have a nice day!
BYE!

Aww i really enjoyed that! It's written for a much younger audience I feel but the message was still very useful for me!

I thought it would be about singing, but it's actually about friendship and family, community and your identity!

I believe this book is typical of an easy-read book and pretty much enjoyable book, but at some point, there are still many potentials that haven’t been executed well. Probably because this book is a series but it’s still on the first book? Probably.

This book is so cute and warm. Most of the problems raised in this book is relevant to most of middle school students. Relationship issues with their bffs, not feeling confident, and yes especially for girls they tend to be jealous when their best friend suddenly be closed to someone other than them. This put a smile on my face. I love how this book is so detailed. I haven't read any book with such thick muslim-culture background before this and this book opened my eyes and teaches me lot of things. I saw everything in a point of view of a muslim girl which I have never been. And yes, those underlined the importance of reading diverse book!

Based on the title and the beginning of the book, I thought this was going to be about a young girl finding the courage to use her beautiful singing voice but that was really only a very minor plot point in the book. It does have some wonderful themes and conversation starters for young readers.
