It was better this time around. I loved it as a teen, but I think I got more of the humor as an adult. It went really fast. Douglas Adams has a natural style that is fun and simple and entertaining.

I wish I could give this 6 stars, it's my favorite book/series in the whole world. A fun upbeat scifi story that does a great job of tackling the big questions of human existence and meaning. Approached with a copious amount of satire and irony it explores the universe while remembering that humans, at the end of the day, aren't that special. I recommend this book to everyone ever.

I actually thought that people were over estimating this book. Specially since I am not really into this kind of nonsensical humor that was Monty Python. But, like in other instances, I was pleasantly surprised. This is a magnificent book. And after reading so much of it (this edition has all the books in the series) I felt that I identified with the characters. Damned I hated to let them go.

Reading Douglas Adams is a trip. Weird, psychedelic, and not at all rational; enjoyable, and funny, yet somehow the discussing of it all is better than the actual reading of the book. Possibly better if you're smoking something.

Encompassing all five books in the series makes reading them a lot easier. The books are full of witty phrases that can make you laugh out loud. Douglas Adams is by far one of my favorite writers.

The first two books and the second half of the last one are okay and fun, but the others are kind of boring and pointless. The ending of this saga was so exasperating that I seriously don't wanna talk about this anymore. I miss Marvin tho.
