If having your husband leave you after twenty five years of marriage for a woman he is having affair with isn’t bad enough, Ronnie had my total sympathy as the affair is only with their next door neighbour. I couldn’t think of anything worse having a constant reminder and having your nose rubbed right in their relationship seeing them coming and going everyday with them living right next door to Ronnie.

Whilst I didn’t condone Ronnie’s ideas of trying to get rid of her ex and his new partner, it sure made for some fun reading. What was even more fun was mother in law, Bea’s, and daughter Willow’s, thoughtful ideas of helping Ronnie move on with her life.

There are more than a few parts that had me guffawing and chuckling out loud. There’s nothing more disappointing when books claim to be funny and laugh out loud but this one lives up to the claims. Poor Ronnie though as I did feel bad at some of her misfortunes but by heck were they funny.

Six Steps To Happiness is a fabulously fun and uplifting read. Your life won’t seem so bad when you see Ronnie go from one disaster to another. I loved Ronnie and the bond between her, Bea and Willow. It’s a story that offers hope and second chances. A wonderfully compelling story that instantly hooks you. Wouldn’t expect anything else from this author.
