Although the first book (What really happened in Peru) was way more hilarious, it's always fun (and worth it) to read about Magnus's adventures (and misadventures) all over the world. There is never a boring time with this gorgeous warlock! I especially like the hot air balloon escape! Hahaha! Too bad Marie Antoinette and her family got caught in the end... there goes all of his efforts. :( Looking forward to the third Bane Chronicles book! ^^

French Revolution, Marie Antoinette (dear lord that woman was annoying and an idiot), vampires (not the kind kind, but the ones that will kill you if you so much as step wrongly), flirting (Axel and Magnus were so adorable together and I wish for more moments), I had such a laugh that he named the monkey after his friend and I wished I could have seen his reaction to it, I loved seeing Paris even though it was a bit dreary what with the whole revolution and unhappiness everywhere. This was a fun story, though a bit less fun than the first one. Still I do want to continue reading, thankfully I got a whole book of stories! *cheers*

I like the idea of this series...Magnus Bane was one of my favorite characters in the Mortal Instruments books. Just disappointed in how SHORT the stores are! Would love a full length novel on this dynamic Warlock! Still...each installment is fun to read.

I could not really get into this short story. I see it gave clues to other books in the series, and showed how lonely Magnus can feel being immortal and everyone he loves or can possibly love dies while he can not. Poor Magnus is how I feel at the end of this story. Instead of going to him or stopping him he just burns the letter letting whatever to happen.. happen.

Que loco es Magnus, me encanto la historia y sabes que es buena cuando alguien contrata a Magnus Bane
Y cómo siempre toda ocasión es buena para ligar

This story is bittersweet. It has wonderful imagery and a decent plot.

The first book was better. Maybe because Catarina was part of it? I really thought I liked it only because of Magnus. This book was stupid. And the three stars is just for the last page. The rest of the book was unsatisfactory & boring
