idk what i expected from this book but it wasn’t this. this has been on and off my fyp for a year and i haven’t read it until now and im so caught off guard. i didn’t feel like the sense of love from the two characters more so just the dependency of being able to hide their addictions. i read so many high ratings when yes the writing was good and i was into it, but wouldn’t give it higher than a 2.5/3 ish idk im sure it gets better and im going to read the second book but idk its just odd to me.

Lo and Lil, alcoholic and sex addict, in a relationship. Shouldn’t be complicated, right?

I’ve never read anything like this, and there were some parts that just gave me the ick but overall I found this super entertaining. I even got a bit emotional at the end. Def a super toxic love, their addictions literally take over their entire lives. Also I figured out the small twist early on but it was still pretty cool. Kind of reminded me of Magnolia Parks(much better) but in an alternate reality.

i liked this.. but it felt like there was alot of back and forth of the same thing and it got kind of old. i really liked the characters and can see myself already getting attached to them as i keep reading the series. i guessed the plot twist super early on so that kind of sucked but other than that it was pretty solid

A fast read, full of everything I need right now: angst, likable characters, slow burn. Enjoyed it immensely.

ahora que lo releí ya sabiendo que esperar siento que me gustó más.
eso si, después de que lo y lily ya están juntos todo se pone de la hueva pero mejora casi al final.

Loved it so much. It was relatable in many ways and never did it fail to describe the hardships of an addiction. How things like this can engulf you but it's never too late to seek recovery. Also, the way Lo sacrificed it for Lily because he released that he indeed was hurting his loved one's and not just himself— my heart instantly melt into a puddle, with happy tears and everything.
I can't wait to finish this series! The book has on a chokehold.
