I really liked this book, though it wasn’t my favorite out of the whole series I’d have to give that to Nero and Camille, but this book definitely had me at the edge of my seat. I’m really happy to have completed the brutal birthright series, and I loved how the epilogue was the opening for the next series to come. Sebastian’s character growth was everything in this book, it might’ve taken him to hit rock bottom, but he’s become a fierce leader, as well as Yelena who really pissed me off in the beginning of the book

Wow … this was a great way to end the series. I’m sad with what happened in the book, but it wrapped everything up & the epilogue set it up for the Kingsmakers series. Which I will also be reading.

The book didn’t have a ton of romance in it. Of course, we get to see Sebastian & Yelena. But it was mostly about conflict between the Gallos & the Bravta. Setting up, Sebastian but then having it all fall down..

Anyways, i wish we could have seen more about Yelena & Sebastian’s relationship. But I’m happy with how everything ended

What to expect: mafia, forbidden romance, arranged marriage, twistsssssss

Y’all this book WAS A WILD RIDE!!! The audio narrator did such a perfect job wow

I loved Yelena so much and I was so excited to finally get Sebastian’s story. There were so many twists and turns and the cameos from last characters were amazing.

The ending had the perfect setup for the second generation series, and I can’t wait to start those!!

Spice: 3

1/5 - soft dnfed at 72%, skimmed to end

This lowkey could’ve been a 2 star read, but it just fell off :/ the dungeon scene… nope, just nope. Not for me.

This was better than the last two (at first)… I went in with very low expectations, but the final conflict kept me invested. I didn’t care for the romance either, except for that wedding scene bc it was a WILD ride…

It’s so funny how uninvested I was bc when we found out Radion is mute bc his former boss cut his tongue out, I don’t realize they even mentioned it until Seb said the same exact thing 3 CHAPTERS LATER Lolll. I just thought he was selectively mute

"Play the opening like a book. The middlegame like a magician. And the endgame like a machine"

"In a game of winners and losers, the only happy ending was not to play at all"

Fan of the author, but sadly not a fan of the insta-love.

this one didn’t stick out to me like the others but i still enjoyed it, wish there was a last scene of everyone together. the steamy parts were wow, specially the basement. still thinking if I should start the kingmakers series.
