Nothing groundbreaking here, but a good reminder to be proactive, not reactive, in the mornings. Also, I listened to this entire book before breakfast.

‘Get up early’ does seem to be good advice. It’s just so hard to do! When I was going to 5AM Crossfit my days were better, but now that I’m overseas without that option getting up early is much harder. I also tend to fritter away my morning time rather than jump out of bed and get to it.

Simple read

A simple and quick read with one lesson: tackle your goals in the morning. There was not a lot of science or how to in this book, rather stories of successful CEOs who started their days off doing what they liked to do before “others” awoke to interrupt.

Was hoping for more but this book just falls flat. I see it was published in 2012. I'm sure in 2012 this information was a lot more revolutionary, but for me it didn't really offer any practical tips for how to have an effective morning routine. I felt like it was a bunch of out-of-touch rich people giving us working folks advice.

To be honest this book was a bit of a letdown. The things it presented felt obvious. Not a bad book but didn’t grow my knowledge base.
