The whole volume is about Hiro. Some of his actions aren't very believable. I found his explanation, for why he started killing people a bit lacking.

It just doesn't make sense that Hiro seems to strongly care about a girl he never paid any attention to before and who he coldly rejected earlier in the series. So at this point, him caring about her and starting to heal people to make her happy just doesn't make sense. If he showed emotion toward her, I could understand.
