I liked this book. The duke never does anything particularly heinous, unlike Lucien in the first book. His feelings were believable. It was sweet seeing Jane become more comfortable in her unwanted marriage and herself. I loved how she learns stand up for herself and her interests.
Moderate: Body shaming, Sexual content, Violence, Vomit, Kidnapping, Alcohol, and Injury/Injury detail

What I liked:
- Harrison’s obsession, I love how down bad he was for her! It was so cute. It definitely took a while to get to that side of him, but once we got there, he was adorable. I wish we knew how he felt about her beforehand though. There are hints that he felt protective toward her before the events of this book too.
- Jane’s acceptance of herself, it was really beautiful to see her become comfortable with herself and be more confident.
What I didn’t like:
- Over complicated, things between the couple felt drawn out and over complicated for no real reason? It was frustrating to watch and made the second half of the book feel like it was dragging.

4 stars because this was beautiful and he was Mr Darcy and Mr Knightley as well. I loved Jane, yeah she was shy but she can be brave too!!! DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HER!!!
This would have been a 5 star BUT wtf was that epilogue HMMM???!!! I am so mad about that and I better see them in the next book
The only thing that annoyed me was when Harrison didn’t believe her when she said she didn’t do something but besides that and obviously the staying away because afraid of how much he loves her, I loved him. I didn’t even hate the parts where he got jealous of Dunston (only of Colin hence the not believing Jane part)
🔥🔥🔥
