this book was honestly nothing like I expected. each short story jumps across perspectives, time periods, and even genres, with the only common themes being the selfishness, ignorance, and prejudice of humanity. my personal favorite stories were and the Moon be Still as Bright, The Martian, and The Million Year Picnic. i'm surprised this isn't a more popular classic - it's utterly unique and captivating.

-.25 stars though because Usher II and Way in the Middle of the Air were jarringly out of place,, i can see why some editions cut them out
