For someone who is more physics based, botany being one of my least favourite sciences, this book actually made me interested in trees! It feels like it was the kind of stuff Tolkien read before writing LotR, because all the little intricacies of how trees communicate and function fit into the Ents of Middle-earth, and it was great to read about the actual science (almost) behind one of my favourite fantasy races.

This was really interesting and informative. I liked that the trees were given a personality. Sometimes things were repeated a little too often.

Fascinating look into the complexity of trees. The accompanying documentary is also incredible!

Räjäyttää tajunnan. Tämän jälkeen et enää koskaan katso puita ja metsää samalla tavalla. Tai hanki joulukuusta.
