I loved this memoir! It gave me so much insight into my absolute favorite band. Seeing how much turmoil he went through in his youth with a very mentally abusive mother and then navigating life with intense insecurities, imposter syndrome, and terrible depression felt so human considering he’s a rock star. It was an easy read and only gets a 4 star because sometimes his self depreciation and ramblings went on too long. Other than that it’s a great read.

As a Fall Out Boy super fan I could not have been more excited to get an ARC of this book. I've always loved Joe's interviews and his podcast. He's such a funny person and instantly that showed through in this book. Even as this book touched on dark themes, his jokes had me laughing out loud. I loved getting to know more about Joe and his life. Hearing his perspective on not only on his career but the scene that shaped them and living life as a member of a famous band was incredibly interesting. My only complaint would be that I want more! This book could have been 1000 pages and I would have read all of it. I love his writing style, his story, and his humor.
